His Kingdom Purposes

Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done... .

In the past two years, I have found myself praying, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, here on earth as it is in Heaven!” I usually point to the ground or to my heart to get really specific about the word “here.” I want to see His Heavenly Kingdom and His Incredible Will flow down from His Throne of Grace all over the place.

Just recently I was meditating on His Kingdom and His Will and He started nudging my heart to write an article about what I was hearing Him say.

After reading Matthew 4:23–24, greater purpose came into my heart for praying for His Kingdom and Will here on earth.

Matthew 4:23-24

23 And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.

24 So the report of Him spread throughout all Syria, and they brought Him all who were sick, those afflicted with various diseases and torments, those under the power of demons, and epileptics, and paralyzed people, and He healed them. (Amplified)

When praying for His Kingdom to come, we are asking God to come and use us as instruments of His healing power for the sick and afflicted. We are asking for His authority to open the doors to prisoners and to set the captives free. We are asking for His saving grace to be multiplied in the hearts of all those we come in contact with. These Kingdom purposes are His will for this earth. (This makes me want to shout!!)

In Luke 12: 31-32, we are encouraged to “aim at and strive for and seek His Kingdom”. And in these verses we see that it is our “Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom!” Hallelujah!!

KINGDOM PURPOSES

We are in a major war. We are the conquerors! We are the victors! Our heavenly Kingdom must be established here in this world. This is our Father’s world, you know!! Through us, His Kingdom is being established. In Matthew 13: 31-32 the Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a mustard seed. It is the smallest of seeds, but yields a lofty plant that grows large enough to be considered a tree and becomes a shelter for the birds. In verse 38, we see that Jesus explains that He is the one that sows the seed into the field which is the world. Then He goes on further to say that we are that good seed. We are the Children of His Kingdom. Each one of us has been specifically planted in a particular place and circumstance that we might grow into that lofty plant of His Kingdom…with roots that grow deep into the soil of the world. We must and will have an impact!!

In Matthew 13: 33, Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to leaven, “which a woman took and covered over in three measures of meal or flour till all of it was leavened.” We as the Children of His Kingdom will have the same affect on those around us. We will be those that will quickly bring about change in the world around us. We must rise to the occasion!

OUR WEAPON

The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty to the tearing down of strongholds. One of the main weapons to use against our enemy is God’s word, whether it be the logos word or the rhema word of God. When I discovered the following verse, it greatly impacted my prayer life. It is one I suggest you memorize:

Jeremiah 23:29

Is not My word like fire [that consumes all that cannot endure the test]? Says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks in pieces the rock {of most stubborn resistance]? (Amplified)

When you pray using the word of God, just picture this in your mind. See that mighty fire of God falling on the resistance to His Kingdom purposes and see a powerful hammer fall down from heaven to smash and destroy the works of the evil one.

People, it is finished!!! The battle has been won. Let’s get out there and establish His Kingdom on this earth! AMEN! So be it!!
